Oracle SOA Suite 11g Updates
New Release of Oracle Service Bus 11g, a Key Component of Oracle SOA Suite 11g, Improves Performance and Scalability of SOA and Cloud Environments.
News Facts
- Extending the performance and scalability leadership of Oracle SOA Suite 11g, Oracle announced Oracle Service Bus 11g.
- Part of the Oracle Fusion Middleware product family, and a component of Oracle SOA Suite 11g, Oracle Service Bus 11g transforms complex and brittle application architectures into flexible application networks that are easily and rapidly modified. It does so by mediating and managing services and applications in a consistent, standards-based methodology.
- Oracle Service Bus 11g delivers low-cost, standards-based integration for SOA environments where extreme performance and scalability are key requirements.
- Oracle Service Bus 11g introduces new capabilities such as Service Result Cache and Automated Lifecycle Service Governance, as well as improved performance and availability for organizations using enterprise datacenters, as well as virtual private cloud environments.
New Capabilities Enhance Performance and Lower Costs
- Service Result Cache: Oracle Service Bus 11g delivers a unique approach to eliminating latency times associated with frequent access of static back-end data with an easy to use, single-click enablement of service result caching. It achieves this by directly embedding and integrating with Oracle Coherence, the industry’s leading in-memory data grid.
- Automated Lifecycle Service Governance: In contrast to traditional ESBs, which treat service governance as an afterthought and depend upon manual management using a disparate set of governance tools, Oracle Service Bus 11g automatically synchronizes service governance with the Enterprise Repository throughout the entire service lifecycle from design through development, deployment, and runtime. This new level of integration between the ESB and governance greatly reduces errors and improves time to market.
- Cloud Integration: Oracle Service Bus 11g is designed to enable customers to easily integrate and bridge the divide between enterprise data centers and public cloud infrastructures.
Supporting Quotes
- “As customers expand their service infrastructure to include more disparate services from clouds and other external sources, the need for high service availability and performance dramatically increases,” said David Shaffer, vice president, product management, Oracle Fusion Middleware. “The new features in Oracle Service Bus 11g eliminate performance bottlenecks and ensure high service availability so customers can dramatically improve the performance and scalability of their SOA investments.”
- “It used to take three to four weeks to onboard telemarketing partners, but with Oracle Service Bus, we have shrunk this timeframe down to a matter of days,” said Siddharth Jain, senior director of engineering at Product Partners. “Oracle Service Bus provides great flexibility and cost savings.”

What happen to MySql after Oracle Acquires Sun Microsystem ?
I am a MySql users since long ago. When Sun Microsystem acquires MySql i have big dream that MySql will be great and greather. But i have bad feeling since Oracle Acquires Sun Microsystem. I realy disappointed about that. Then I always monitor the development of mysql after sun was bought by Oracle, and here are the answers. I found it on the internet. http://www.oracle.com/us/corporate/analystreports/corporate/idc-mysql-065208.pdf
Since Oracle’s acquisition of Sun was first announced, there has been intense speculation regarding the fate of Sun’s open source relational database management system (RDBMS), MySQL. On Wednesday, January 27, 2010, Oracle openly discussed plans for the Sun acquisition, and, for the first time, directly addressed the question of MySQL. Based on Oracle’s comments, the following seems clear :
- Oracle will maintain MySQL as an open source product and will not try to compel users to migrate to Oracle Database.
- MySQL will continue to be offered within a business model that is consistent with open source software.
- Oracle will apply its technical expertise to make MySQL better and to enable users to use Oracle’s database tools with MySQL.
- Oracle will make a good faith effort to maintain a constructive and mutually beneficial relationship with the MySQL community.
On January 27, 2010, Oracle held a customer event in the Oracle Conference Center at Oracle’s corporate headquarters in Redwood Shores, California. The purpose of the event was to provide an update on the strategy for combining Oracle and Sun Microsystems following the closure of the transaction and specifically on Oracle’s plans for various aspects of Sun’s existing business. Oracle executives addressed MySQL specifically in the briefing. Edward Screven, chief corporate architect, who is responsible for Oracle’s open source division, made a fairly detailed statement in this regard, the main points of which were :
- MySQL will become part of the open source business unit.
- MySQL will have an independent sales force and an independent development organization, both of which Oracle is retaining from Sun.
- Oracle intends to “make MySQL better” (for instance by improving its integration with Windows and enhancing its testing/management capabilities). Oracle will leverage its existing RDBMS expertise in this regard, as well as its experience in managing the open source storage engine, InnoDB, which is the most popular storage engine for MySQL.
- Oracle will leverage its existing support infrastructure to make MySQL customers’ support experience better.
- MySQL will be “part of the Oracle family” and as such will benefit from integrations between MySQL and Oracle’s supporting infrastructure, including Oracle Enterprise Manager, Oracle Secure Backup, and Oracle Audit Vault.
During the event’s question-and-answer period, Larry Ellison, CEO and chairman of Oracle, added the following:
- Oracle has been in the open source business for “a long time,” acting as a distributor of Apache, an Oracle version of Linux called Oracle Enterprise Linux, which “is compatible with Red Hat Linux,” and the nonrelational DBMS Oracle Berkeley DB.
- Maintaining MySQL represents no conflict in relation to Oracle’s existing database business. In addition to MySQL, Oracle owns several DBMS products, including Oracle Database and Oracle TimesTen (and Oracle Berkeley DB). These products address different segments of the market.
- Although Oracle sells directly to its largest 4,000 customers, the much larger segment of smaller customers are served by a “huge number of channel partners.” Most, though not all, MySQL users fall in the latter category. While MySQL offerings will continue to be sold by the existing dedicated MySQL sales team and partner programs, Ellison clearly implied that he sees a significant opportunity for MySQL to play a key role in Oracle’s channel program, especially now that Oracle’s and Sun’s channel programs will be combined.
Thats my big of hope.
Indonesian Government implement NSW in full swing starting 2010
The government brings in the full National Single Window (NSW) online service for export services in large ports starting early 2010, so that enterprises can and must process all permits on the Internet.
NSW technical team chief Susiwiyono Mugiharso said Monday that the implementation of the NSW concept was included as one of the flagship achievements for the government’s first 100 days in office.
“Hopefully, we can pursue *the implementation of the scheme* within the first 100 days,” he said. The new government will be sworn in Oct. 20.
The NSW scheme requires all exporters and importers to register and submit one document to the NSW portal www.insw.go.id.
Once the single sign-on system is effective, each trader will have one user ID and password to access all related portals, Susiwiyono said. The system “can minimize human errors”, he added.
First introduced in December in 2007 at Jakarta’s Tanjung Priok Port, the NSW scheme is designed to shorten the time needed to verify the identity of importers to a maximum of 7.5 hours, or one working day. Without the scheme, importers previously had to wait several days for such clearance.
Susiwiyono said the NSW scheme had become mandatory for imports through Tanjung Priok Port, Surabaya’s Tanjung Perak Port in East Java, and Tanjung Emas Port in Central Java’s Semarang, as well as Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta.
The scheme would become mandatory at Belawan Port in North Sumatra starting Oct. 21.
For exports, part implementation of the NSW scheme has already been in operation at Tanjung Priok Port since July, while Tanjung Emas Port and Tanjung Perak Port would start requiring exporters to register at the NSW portal in November and December, respectively.
Around 60 percent of all imports arrive at Tanjung Priok port.
Indonesia has enacted the scheme as part of its commitment to comply with the ASEAN Single Window (ASW) project by 2009, together with Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia, the Philippines and Thailand.
Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines are due to have tested the system by the middle of this month.
Meanwhile, Indonesian Employers Association (Apindo) chairman Sofjan Wanandi said he welcomed both the NSW and ASW systems as being more “efficient and simple”.
“But Indonesia, which has had no success story on the system yet, must be prudent, not to embarrass itself due to the many technical constraints that still exist,” he told The Jakarta Post

The power of Java as programming language
This article based on my experience. I used java as my core programming language since 2008. And before use java, I am php maniac for my job and riset. Why i migrate most of my project to java, the following reason can be your reference
- I can create application wit one library for web, desktop and mobile. Not like php only developed for web.
- I can access web service with java so easly. It’s helped by Netbeans IDE which have an ability to generate web service client.
Thats two big reason for me, and of course there are many of another reason but two reason above is enough for me.
Why choose Oracle Database 11g?
One of reason to choose Oracle as database for core applicataion is “The innovation continues with Oracle Database 11g Release 2 to lower IT costs and deliver a higher quality of service”, and one obvious example is consolidating business applications onto fast, reliable and scalable which provide in the database grids form.
